An argument for municipal wireless -- preserving competition
Public ownership is the answer - Minnesota Daily
The student-run Minnesota Daily at the University of Minnesota published a op-ed piece entitled, "Public ownership is the answer: Publicly owned broadband woudl be the equivalent of our network of highways," by Becca Vargo Daggett, identified as director fo the Municipal Telecommunications Project of the Minneapolis-based Institute for Local Self-Reliance. She argues in the article and a related report that public pipes for the Internet would preserve a competitive channel to what is offered by private telcoms.
